Safeguarding Yourself

  • Date: 04/08/2025 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

The City of Plymouth is set to offer a new safety-themed educational class, “Safeguarding Yourself,” 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 8 at the Plymouth Community Center, 14800 34th Ave. N.

Led by Plymouth Public Safety Department staff, class participants may learn essential safety tips that focus on crime prevention, avoiding scams, fire prevention, emergency preparedness and more.

“This is a great opportunity for adults to brush up on their general safety knowledge,” said Community Relations Officer Kasey Abukar. “By the end of the class, we hope individuals leave feeling like they can better protect themselves in various situations and feel more secure in their everyday lives.”

Attendees must be age 18 or older. Space is limited to 35 participants. While there is no cost to participate, registration is required.
