Accepted items: The Plymouth Recycling Drop-Off Site accepts the same items that are collected in curbside recycling carts. Items should not be bagged. 

• Cardboard, flattened
• Paper (not shredded)
• Metal food and beverage cans
• Glass bottles and jars
• Plastics: milk, juice and broth containers; laundry, dish soap and shampoo bottles

 Items not accepted: The following items are not accepted at the Plymouth Recycling Drop-Off Site. 

• Furniture or other household bulky items
• Carpet or rugs
• Plastic bags of any size 
• Shredded paper
• Styrofoam
• Trash
• Paint

Plymouth residents also have the option of dropping off organics at the Recycling Drop-Off Site adjacent to the Plymouth Maintenance Facility, 14900 23rd Ave. N. The site is open daily and is accessible to Plymouth residents at all hours.

Unused Driveway and Sidewalk Salt Drop-Off

Residents may recycle unused winter deicing salt beginning Monday, March 3 through Monday, June 30 by dropping it off in the marked bins at the Plymouth Maintenance Facility, 14900 23rd Ave. N. Collection bins specifically designated for salt are located near the Recycling Drop-Off site at the facility.

Residents should recycle unused salt only, making sure to remove the salt from bags, buckets or other containers. All salt collected will be reused by the City of Plymouth during future winters. Water softener salt, pellets or other types of salt are not accepted.
