The City of Plymouth looks forward to connecting with the community at the 2025 Night to Unite, set for 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5. 

Get-togethers can be as simple as potluck dinners, ice-cream socials or ordering carryout from a local restaurant. Night to Unite is a great opportunity for community members to catch up with one another, welcome new neighbors and update their neighborhood directories.

Hosts can register their block parties using the Night to Unite registration form. Those who register are able to cancel or adjust details accordingly. Plymouth police officers, firefighters and government officials will visit the first 100 block parties that register with the City of Plymouth, so hosts are encouraged to register as early as possible.

For more than 30 years, neighborhoods have volunteered to host back-to-school supplies and/or food drives during Night to Unite to support two nonprofit organizations serving the Plymouth area – People Responding in Social Ministry (PRISM) and Interfaith Outreach.

Because Night to Unite is centered around public safety, the City of Plymouth uses the occasion to conduct an annual test of the Alert Plymouth emergency notification system. The 2025 test is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5.
