Animal-related issues within the city fall into two categories – domestic animals/pets or wildlife. View more information about Plymouth's wildlife ordinances.

Plymouth's community service officers (CSOs) are responsible for animal control within the community. CSOs handle calls for service related to domestic pets. Issues involving wildlife will be documented, but assistance from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and other experts may be needed to deal with these issues. Regulations involving animals as pets within the community are addressed in Section 915 of the City Code.
