The City of Plymouth will hold the 25th-annual Fire & Ice Festival from 2-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Parkers Lake Park, off of County Road 6 and Niagara Lane.
The free family-friendly event will include recycling bin races, a youth ice fishing contest, a goofy hat contest, a petting zoo, hayrides, pony and sled-dog rides, miniature golf on the ice, snow bowling, a bonfire with s’mores and hot chocolate, and recreational skating.
Three food trucks will be present, including Tot Boss, Potter's Pasties & Pies and I Luv Coffee Minnesoota.
Goofy Hat Contest
The annual goofy hat contest will begin at 4 p.m. on the Showmobile Stage. Prizes will be awarded to five age categories, including preschool, ages 5 and younger; youth ages 6-8; youth ages 9-12; teens ages 13-18; and adults. First-place winners in each category will receive a $25 Target gift card, while second-place winners will receive a $10 gift card. Download the poster.
Entertainment
A performance by Skol Line, the drumline of the Minnesota Vikings, will be held at 5 p.m., followed by the folkloric dance group Asi Es Mi Peru at 5:45 p.m. on the Showmobile Stage. The finale of the evening – fireworks sponsored by the Plymouth Civic League – will begin around 6:30 p.m.
Shuttle Service
Shuttles will run from 3:30-7:30 p.m. from the Oakwood Playfield at Oakwood Elementary School, 17340 County Road 6, to Parkers Lake. Shuttles will depart from the west side of the school, off of County Road 101 by the warming house.

The Fire & Ice Festival is free, aside from the food trucks, and open to the public.
