The City of Plymouth will hold a free Plant Selection Workshop 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 27 at the Plymouth Library, 15700 36th Ave. N.
Participants in the workshop will learn how to select trees and shrubs that will add value to their landscapes and balance aesthetic appeal, utility, sustainability and wildlife benefits. A University of Minnesota tree care advisor will be available to provide one-on-one assistance.
The workshop will include information about invasive species identification and management, as well as highlight the qualities of each of the plants in the 2014 Plymouth Tree and Shrub Sale.
For more information about the workshop, call Forestry Technician Lara Newberger at 763-509-5945. For information on available plants and pricing in the Plymouth Tree and Shrub Sale, or to place an order, visit plymouthmn.gov/treesale.
