Post Date:04/23/2014

The annual Drop-Off Day in Plymouth will be held 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Plymouth Maintenance Facility, 14900 23rd Ave. N.

The event provides an opportunity for residents to dispose of and recycle items that may not be collected at the curb, including appliances, electronics, tires, fluorescent bulbs, bicycles, carpet, furniture, batteries, scrap metal and remodeling debris. There is a charge to drop off some of the items.

Shred-N-Go, the mobile paper shredding company, will be present for residents to shred on site at no charge. Goodwill Easter Seals will accept donated clothing and household goods and ReCycle will accept donated bicycles.

The gates will close at 2 p.m. to all vehicles not in line by 2 p.m. Residents should enter on 23rd Avenue from Fernbrook Lane only. No left turns or U-turns. For safety reasons, residents should remain in their vehicles while at the site.

The Plymouth Yard Waste and Recycling Drop-Off sites will be closed until 3 p.m. that day.

The event is for Plymouth residents only; identification for proof of residency is required.

Charges can be paid using credit cards, cash and checks at the event. For more information, call 763-509-5906, email recycling@plymouthmn.gov or visit plymouthmn.gov/dropoff.
