The City of Plymouth is seeking applicants to fill an immediate opening on the Plymouth Planning Commission, a citizen advisory commission to the Plymouth City Council. Applications are due Friday, May 30.
The vacancy is for an at large seat on the commission. The person appointed to fill this seat will complete a term that expires Jan. 31, 2016. The Planning Commission typically meets the first and third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m.
The commission reviews development applications to ensure they conform to the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance. In addition, the commission: considers amendments to the Comprehensive Plan; handles periodic review and study of the Plymouth Zoning Ordinance and subdivision regulations; studies applications for amendments to the Zoning Ordinance; and reviews applications for special permits, site plans and preliminary and final plats.
