Native Plant Sale Set for May 23

Post Date:05/05/2015

Sunrise Native Plants will hold its annual plant sale 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23 at St. Barnabas Lutheran Church, 15600 Old Rockford Road.

The sale will feature a wide variety of native plants, including flowers and grasses which add color, variety and habitat value to landscaping. The sale will offer options for rain gardens, shoreline restoration and colorful gardens to attract birds and butterflies.

The City of Plymouth partners with Metro Blooms to encourage residents to install rain gardens and use native plants in their yards because of their environmental benefits and ability to improve water quality.
