The City of Plymouth will hold a Metro Blooms rain garden workshop 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 at St. Barnabas Lutheran Church, 15600 Old Rockford Road.
Participants can learn how to improve water quality and provide a habitat for butterflies, bees and other pollinators with rain gardens. The workshop will teach healthy yard care practices, including proper use of fertilizers, yard waste disposal and reuse, maintaining ice-free sidewalks and managing runoff.
Residents may also complete a rain garden design for their properties with one-on-one assistance from Metro Blooms landscape designers and Master Gardeners.
The workshop is free for Plymouth residents. To register, call 651-699-2426 or visit metroblooms.org.
