Post Date:07/17/2019 3:43 p.m.

A public safety training exercise is set for July 22-26 at Wayzata East Middle School, 12000 Ridgemount Ave. W. The training lasts from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

Residents living within a few blocks of the school may see large numbers of public safety personnel in and around the school. Residents may also hear the sound of blank firearm training rounds from 3-4:30 p.m. each day.

The Plymouth Public Safety Department, in conjunction with Hennepin County Regional Response, has partnered with Wayzata Public Schools to conduct the training. The training will include members of the Plymouth Police and Fire departments, as well as several other area law enforcement, fire and emergency response agencies.

Signage will be posted at the school’s west parking lot entrance the week of the training.

Residents with questions about the training should contact Plymouth Police Captain Pete Johnson at pjohnson@plymouthmn.gov or 763-509-5160.
