Fire & Ice coloring contest accepting entries through Jan. 24

The 2020 Fire & Ice coloring contest is no longer accepting entries. The deadline to submit entries was 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24. Contest judging and announcement of winners will take place during Fire & Ice on Saturday, Feb. 1.


Fire & Ice Coloring Contest thumbnail image - bear and birds in the woodsThis year's annual Fire & Ice winter festival features a new activity – a coloring contest for children.

Entries are due Friday, Jan. 24. Final entries will be judged and winners will be announced during Fire & Ice. 

All art supplies may be used, except computer editing software.

Age Categories
Contestants will be judged in four age categories:

  • Preschool – ages 5 and younger
  • Youth – ages 6-8
  • Youth – ages 9-12
  • Teen – ages 13-17

Submission Deadline – Jan. 24
All entries must be received by 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24. Submissions may be dropped off at the following locations:

Judging, Winners & Prizes
Finalists will be notified Tuesday, Jan. 28. Coloring contest judging, and announcement of winners, will be held during Fire & Ice – at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 on the Showmobile Stage.

The final winner in each category will receive a $30 Target gift card. The runner-up in each category will receive a $15 Target gift card.


 

Fire & Ice Winter Festival set for Saturday, Feb. 1
2020 Fire & Ice - February 1 in Plymouth, MNEmbrace winter at Fire & Ice. The annual winter festival is set for 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 on the frozen Parkers Lake, County Road 6 and Niagara Lane.

Popular attractions include hayrides, food trucks, recycling bin races snow bowling and games, ice skating, a bonfire, fireworks and more. New features this year include a scavenger hunt and coloring contest (entries due Jan. 24).

Fire & Ice is free, aside from food trucks, and open to the public. View more information.
