Post Date:06/12/2013

After reviewing applications from city manager candidates at a June 11 study session, the Plymouth City Council selected one candidate to interview. It will determine after the interview whether to make an appointment, interview additional candidates or expand the pool through additional recruitment.

The City Council will interview an internal candidate, City of Plymouth Administrative Services Director Dave Callister, at 6 p.m. Monday, June 24 at City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Blvd. He was selected from a field of 11 applicants. Following the interview, the City Council will decide the next step.

Callister has served as the City of Plymouth’s administrative services director since April 2012, overseeing the Assessing, City Clerk/Elections, Communications, Finance and IT divisions. Prior to working for the City of Plymouth, he served at Ehlers & Associates, where he advised more than 50 municipalities on long range financial planning, debt planning and economic development. Callister also has 18 years of city management experience. He served as city administrator in Osseo for ten years and at the cities of Tonka Bay and Gaylord for four years each.
