Plymouth Seniors to Host Annual Pie Day, Book Sale

The Plymouth Senior Program will host the annual Pie Day and Book Sale fundraiser from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20 at the Plymouth Creek Center, 14800 34th Ave. N.
Freshly baked apple, cherry, strawberry-rhubarb and cream pies will be sold for $5 per slice, with a scoop of ice cream. The event will also feature a used book sale, as well as some wares created by the Plymouth Handycrafters.
Money raised through the fundraiser will help support senior programs. It will fund supplies, equipment and guest speakers, as well as veteran and senior events and an annual party celebrating local seniors ages 90 and older.
Those who wish to donate paperback books for the sale may drop them off at the Plymouth Creek Center by Aug. 15.
