The Minnesota Department of Transportation has shared information about closure of the intersection at County Road 9 and Nathan/Lancaster lanes on Wednesday, Oct. 25. The intersection is expected to reopen the evening of Oct. 25.

During the closure, motorists can use the following detours:

• Nathan Lane: Zachary Lane to Schmidt Lake Road to Nathan Lane
• Lancaster Lane: Zachary Lane to 36th Avenue North to Lancaster Lane

Please note that timeframes are approximate, subject to change and weather and schedule permitting.

Overnight Closures on Highway 169

Motorists should also note that overnight closures on Highway 169 continue this week based on the schedule below:

• Northbound Highway 169 – Closed between I-394 and 49th Avenue:
  • 10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25
  • 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 to 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26

Those traveling in the area may use I-94, I-494 and I-394 as detour routes during the overnight closures.

More About the Project

MnDOT is replacing the bridge and reconstructing the interchange at Highway 169 and County Road 9 (Rockford Road/42nd Avenue). When complete, the new interchange will improve traffic flow, decrease delays and increase safety. Construction is anticipated to be completed in fall 2023.
