Plymouth to host youth sports tournaments Dec. 27-28

To help children stay active during winter break, the City of Plymouth is set to host youth basketball and soccer tournaments Dec. 27-28 at the Plymouth Community Center, 14800 34th Ave. N.
Winter Cup Soccer Tournament
Children in grades 3-6 are invited to participate in various divisions of the Winter Cup Soccer Tournament in the Plymouth Community Center Fieldhouse dome. Four teams may register for each division, and each team is guaranteed four games. Teams may have a maximum of 12 players on the roster. Cost is $300 per team. Tournament divisions include:
- Girls – grades 3 and 4 (7 vs. 7)
- Boys – grades 3 and 4 (7 vs. 7)
- Girls – grades 5 and 6 (8 vs. 8)
- Boys – grades 5 and 6 (8 vs. 8)
3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
Children in grades 4-7 may participate in various divisions of Plymouth’s 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. Four teams may register for each division of the tournament, and each team is guaranteed three games. Each team may have a maximum of five players on the roster. Cost is $150 per team. Tournament divisions include:
- 4th grade boys
- 4th grade girls
- 5th grade boys
- 5th grade girls
- 6th grade boys
- 6th grade girls
- 7th grade boys
- 7th grade girls
Participants must register as a team, not as individual players. Registration for both tournaments will close Friday, Dec. 8. For more information and to register, visit plymouthmn.gov/athletics.
