Mayor’s Minutes: Upcoming summer concerts and more

Post Date:07/05/2024 1:57 p.m.

In this edition of Mayor’s Minutes, Plymouth Mayor Jeff Wosje shares a recap from the June 1 ribbon cutting and open house at Fire Station 2 – and provides information about upcoming concerts at the Hilde Performance Center.

Mayor’s Minutes is a regular segment produced by CCX Media, which features area mayors and topics that may interest residents.

Recap: Fire Station 2 Ribbon Cutting and Open House

Earlier this summer, the Plymouth Fire Department hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house to celebrate the newly reconstructed Fire Station 2.

Originally built in 1977, Fire Station 2 in eastern Plymouth was demolished in spring 2021 due to the station’s insufficient size and outdated infrastructure. The station was unable to meet the needs of the Plymouth Fire Department, following its transition to a hybrid staffing model comprised of both part-time/on-call and full-time firefighters.
