Residents who are interested in renovating or building an addition to their homes will have more resources at their fingertips. Through the Architectural Design Program, a new offering of the Plymouth Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA), Plymouth homeowners can receive consultation and assistance in their efforts to update older homes.
Two-hour consultation sessions with a local architect, licensed through the American Institute of Architects, will be available to participating homeowners. The consultations can be used to discuss renovation options, learn about working with an architect and obtain basic drawings, if time allows.
Cost for the consultation is $25; limit of one consultation per household. To be eligible, the Plymouth home must be at least 30 years old. Homeowners who participate will be able to select an architect from a list of approved, licensed firms.
To sign up for a consultation or for more information, call HRA Specialist Spencer Agnew at 763-509-5413 or email sagnew@plymouthmn.gov.
