Plymouth Police Officers, Firefighters Participate in ‘Movember’

If residents noticed some unordinary fuzzy-faced Plymouth police officers or firefighters last month, it’s likely because they were participating in no-shave November – or “Movember” – to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health issues.
Mustache-clad staff participating from the two departments raised more than $1,100 for the cause. Funds will be donated to the Movember Foundation, which challenges men to grow moustaches during the month of November to raise money for men’s health programs.
A total of 47 staff members from the Plymouth Police and Fire departments participated in the initiative.
