City of Plymouth Public Safety Update for Thursday, June 4

Post Date:06/04/2020 2:32 p.m.

On Wednesday evening about 200 people gathered at Plymouth Creek Park in memory of George Floyd. This was a family-oriented event that was organized by individuals in the community. Thank you to event organizers for this peaceful and heartfelt event.

As reported yesterday, the Plymouth Public Safety Department continues to handle routine calls for this time of year, and has no activity related to civil unrest to report.

Additionally, there is no evidence of credible threats to communities in the suburban Twin Cities area, despite rumors on social media.

A curfew has not been imposed in Plymouth.

We encourage residents to report any suspicious activity by calling 911 or Hennepin County Dispatch at 952-258-5321.

Thanks to residents for continuing to be calm, proactive and kind.
