


The City of Plymouth is hiring a Community Development Director. Applications are due 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9.
Plymouth seeks a leader to direct the work of the Community Development Department, including planning and zoning, redevelopment, building inspections, code enforcement and housing programs.
This full-time position also serves as the executive director of the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority and the primary liaison to the City Council, Planning Commission and HRA.
The Community Development Director is also responsible for:
- Ensuring the compliance of all housing development and redevelopment in Plymouth
- Providing leadership in the area of land use, large-scale transportation planning and development financing
- Developing plans and policies for Tax Increment Financing, Special Service Districts, use of Community Development Block Grant funds, and grant applications
- Establishing city policies, ordinances, development agreements and financing plans that support the city’s planning objectives
- Supervising Community Development Department staff and more
