Plymouth seeks applications for Charter Commission and HRA

Closeup of a gavel in the Plymouth City Council chambersThe City of Plymouth is seeking applicants to fill seats on the Plymouth Charter Commission and a seat on the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority. Seats for both boards will be open until filled, but preference will be given to those who apply by Friday, Feb. 3.

Charter Commission

The Charter Commission is an independent body that discusses topics related to the Plymouth City Charter, which defines city government structure and operations. The commission meets annually on the second Wednesday in December at 7 p.m., and may also meet periodically, as needed.

Housing and Redevelopment Authority

Plymouth has one opening on the Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) for an at-large representative. The HRA works with Plymouth’s housing and community development programs; administers federal, state and local grants for housing programs; and manages city residential buildings. The group typically meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.
