Beginning 10 p.m. Friday, June 28, eastbound Highway 55 will be closed between Interstate 494 and Xenium Lane. The closure is expected to last until 5 a.m. Monday, July 1 and will allow crews to complete drainage work as part of the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Highway 55 pavement improvement project. 

During this time, the ramp from northbound I-494 to Highway 55 will also be closed.

Detours are: 

• Eastbound Highway 55: Southbound I-494 to westbound I-394 to northbound Highway 169. View detour (PDF)
• Northbound I-494 ramp to Highway 55: Northbound I-494 to Rockford Road to southbound I-494. View detour (PDF)

This closure was originally scheduled to take place June 21-24, but was rescheduled due to weather.
