
Plymouth’s annual springtime celebration of the arts, Primavera is set for April 10-13 at the Plymouth Community Center, 14800 34th Ave. N.
A partnership of the City of Plymouth and Plymouth Arts Council, this free four-day event provides an opportunity for the public to view and celebrate fine art. Attendees may also enjoy musical performances and other informational opportunities.
Primavera will feature original juried artwork by local and regional artists, as well as artwork by Plymouth area high school students. The Primavera event schedule is as follows:
Thursday, April 10
- Exhibit Hours: 7-9 p.m.
- Plymouth READS Literary Night: 7 p.m., featuring Mona Susan Power, author of “A Council of Dolls.” For more information, visit plymouthreads.org.
Friday, April 11
- Exhibit Hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Performance by Wayzata High School Jazz Band: 6-7 p.m.
- Primavera Awards Ceremony: 7-8 p.m.
Saturday, April 12
- Exhibit Hours: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Performance by Plymouth Concert Band Ensembles: 10 a.m. to noon
- Artist Talk: 1-2 p.m., featuring Jamie Miller and Tracy Walsh, artists in residence at Olive Stack Gallery in Listowel, Ireland
- Entertainment by Blue Lotus Dancers: 3-4 p.m.
Sunday, April 13
- Exhibit Hours: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Primavera Artwork on Display Through May 25
Juried artwork by adult artists will remain on display and available for public viewing in the Plymouth Community Center Art Gallery through Sunday, May 25. Regular gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
