The City of Plymouth issues permits and inspects all building, mechanical and plumbing work regulated under the Minnesota State Building Code for residents of the City of Medicine Lake.

The City of Medicine Lake uses the Department Of Labor and Industry to conduct electrical inspections and planning consultants to perform site survey and site plan reviews.

Note: Permit payments must be issued via check.

In February 2020, the cities of Medicine Lake and Plymouth authorized a joint powers agreement designating the City of Plymouth as the administrator of the Minnesota State Building Code for the City of Medicine Lake. Under this agreement, the City of Plymouth’s building official serves as the City of Medicine Lake’s building official.
