The Plymouth City Council adopted changes to the city code that address short-term rentals, commonly referred to as Vrbo or Airbnb. All property owners who operate a short-term rental must fulfill short-term rental license requirements which include an application, fee, rental inspection, completion of mandatory city training, and completes the monthly lodging tax submittal.

A short-term rental is defined as accommodations at a residential dwelling property, or unit of a residential dwelling, that is rented for a duration of less than 30 days at one time, not including properties meeting the definition of “Hospitality Accommodation” in Section 435 of the city code.
