Rider Alert: County Road 9 bridge project affects Route 777

Post Date:05/23/2019 1:41 p.m.

The County Road 9 bridge over Interstate 494 is slated to be replaced this summer, which will cause traffic impacts, as well as Plymouth Metrolink schedule changes and route detours.

Please note: This detour is expected to go into effect in late June and last through early October. An updated Rider Alert will be sent when an exact date is known.

Route 777
Due to bridge removal in the project’s second phase, County Road 9 will be closed at I-494. During this closure, Route 777 will not serve Fernbrook Lane between Schmidt Lake Road and County Road 9 in either direction. Passengers will be unable to board a Metrolink bus in the affected area.

Passengers impacted by the detour are encouraged to utilize the free Station 73 Park and Ride at Highway 55 and County Road 73.

Riders can also use Metrolink’s Dial-A-Ride service, which offers on-demand shuttle service anywhere in Plymouth. Dial-A-Ride shuttles can be scheduled using the free Microtransit App or by calling 763-559-5057. For more information, visit plymouthmn.gov/dial-a-ride.

The Route 777 detour is:

  • Eastbound – Buses will follow the regular route on Cheshire Lane N. at Schmidt Lake Road then detour left on Schmidt Lake Road, right on Northwest Boulevard, right on County Road 9, left on Vinewood Lane N. and back to the regular route.
  • Westbound – Buses will follow the regular route on Vinewood Lane N. at County Road 9 then detour right on County Road 9, left on Northwest Boulevard, left on Schmidt Lake Road, right on Cheshire Lane N. and back to the regular route.
